Model adapted for cars with standard roof rails
Turtle AIR-1 is a model-specific roof rack that fits cars that have standard rails. AIR-1 is an aerodynamically designed roof rack where extra focus has been placed on quality and perfect fit, resulting in a roof rack that minimally affects fuel consumption and wind noise and sits securely on your car.
For most newer cars with integrated roof rails
The Turtle AIR-2 comes with a mount for cars with so-called integrated roof rails. An integrated roof rail is mounted close to the roof of the car and therefore has no air between the car roof and the roof rail. Turtle has brackets for the vast majority of types of integrated roof rails and you don't have to think about which bracket your car should have, we know that from the model selector.
For cars with fixed mounting points on the roof
Turtle AIR-3 is made for cars with factory-prepared brackets for roof rails where the roof rail is easily screwed into existing threads on the roof. Turtle AIR-3 otherwise consists of the same aluminum profile with T-slot as the other railings in the Turtle AIR series, which means quiet and energy-efficient railings with T-slot.
The roof rack has a standard T-slot, which makes it very flexible and compatible with most manufacturers' accessories such as Thule, Prorack, Whispbar and Yakima that provide bike racks, kayak racks, ski/snowboard racks, canoe racks, etc.
